Kin+Carta
Agency — Kin+Carta
Role — Sr. Art Director & Designer
Scope — Visual Identity Redesign, Brand Standards, Digital Design
Kin and Carta wanted to redesign their visual identity and digital presence to speak to their new B2B and B2C consultancy capabilities after an international aquisitional merger. I was recruited to lead design direction and cross-collaborative design team (across time zones) to implement the new identity system as defined in Frontify. We redesigned their sub-logotypes for their new departments, as well as the typography, color palette, art direction of photography and application to website design in Figma. We utilized Miro and Monday for brainstorming, idea generation and project management, while redesigning their brand standards and digital applications. Ultimately, my biggest contribution creating an WCAG accessible color palette that passed ADA standards, while defining a design rationale lattering up to their core values that was sold-in to the stakeholders. This was the crux of the design problem-solving and helped to define the aesthetic of the design system plus interaction design. Our final product included identity system, content, social, a photography library and website design to showcase their case studies with brands like Lexus.
